Can I approve credits before they are added?

Yes, by default credits are automatically approved and are added to the media item when someone gives you credit. 

However there may be times you don't want to be credited on items for various reasons. 

You can enable Approve Credits in the Settings->Media->Approve Credits option which will send you a notification to approve or decline the credit before it's added with your name.
